# Create a waiver QR code sign for fast check-ins

Speed up guest check-in and reduce queues by displaying a QR code that links directly to your online waiver. Guests can scan the code on arrival to complete their waiver quickly and securely on their own device.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to access your waiver link, generate a QR code, add it to the ready-made sign template and download your sign for printing.

2. Select **Get waivers link**
3. Highlight and copy your **Online waivers link**
4. Paste the link into your browser
5. Right-click anywhere on the page

You can now use this QR code for printed signs, stickers or posters throughout your venue.

## Create a QR code sign with our template

To make things easier, we’ve created a pre-designed QR code sign template in Canva that you can use right away. The layout is already formatted with clear instructions, proper spacing and rounded corners for a clean, professional look. You just paste your QR code in, and it's ready to go!

### Use the sign template

To use the template, **you must have a Canva log in**. You don't need a paid account.

1. Open the [Waiver QR Code - Poster Template (2ft x 3ft)](https://www.canva.com/design/DAHBiPckDOg/RL5zLAZWtszXnXO65osg2w/view?utm_content=DAHBiPckDOg&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=publishsharelink&mode=preview) template.
2. Select **Edit template.**
3. Select **Uploads** > **Upload files** and upload your waiver QR code.
4. Paste your QR code into the center of the QR code square, ensuring it stays within the borders.
5. Edit any text or colours, as needed.

## Download your sign for printing

When your design is complete and ready to download:

1. Select **Share > Download**
2. Under **File type** choose **PDF print**
3. Enable **Crop marks and bleed**
4. Set the **Color profile** to **CMYK**
5. Select **Download**

You can now send your sign to your printer.

## Best practices for QR signage

- **Recommended size:** 2 feet x 3 feet for clear visibility in high-traffic areas.
- Place signs at **entrances, queue areas and front desk counters**
- **Include clear instructions** such as: Scan to complete your waiver before check-in
- Keep the **QR code large and centred**
- Leave **white space around the code**
- **Avoid reflective** surfaces
- **Test the QR code** before printing to **confirm it opens the correct link**
