# Export data from CenterEdge

This guide helps you migrate your data from CenterEdge to ROLLER. Follow the steps outlined here to make sure that all information is exported accurately, so you can continue operations smoothly in ROLLER. Each step ensures verification before your official ROLLER launch, allowing any necessary adjustments by testing in your ROLLER playground first.

## Key steps

Review the key steps here, then follow the detailed instructions for each export type below.

1. **Export data**
  - Follow the instructions below for each export type to export the data from CenterEdge to an Excel file.
  - Name the file with your venue name followed by the export type, such as **Jumptastic** **Waiver** **Export**, and save it in Microsoft Excel (*.xls) format.
2. **Email the file**
  - Send the Excel file to [datamigrations@rollersoftware.com](mailto:datamigrations@rollersoftware.com) for data verification.
  - Include your venue name in the email subject for data validation, for example, **Jumptastic Waiver Export**.
3. **Data review**
  - If there are no issues, the data will be placed in your venue's playground for testing.
  - You will be notified when the data is ready for testing. Follow the steps in the guide [Test your imported data in playground](/v1/docs/test-your-imported-data-in-your-playground) to ensure the data appears as intended.
4. **Repeat before launch** Close to your launch date, complete the data export again to minimize discrepancies.

## Exporting tips

If a report contains an excessive amount of data, there is a risk of a report query failing. To prevent this, filters can be applied to separate specific portions of the data.

For example:

- Add a **Valid** filter to exclude expired and duplicate waivers.
- Add filters based on issue date timeframes to retrieve specific portions of fixed memberships when dealing with large amounts of data.

## Waivers

1. From the Manager Console in CenterEdge, go to **Reports**.
2. Select **Customer** under **Ad-Hoc Reports**.
3. Select **New** **Customer** **Report.**
4. Select the following waiver fields from the **Columns** tab on the left, then use the **right arrow (>)** to move them to the **Filters** tab:
  - Customer Key
  - First Name
  - Last Name
  - Birth Date
  - E-Mail Address
  - Phone Number
  - Issue Date
  - Expiration Date
  - Is Valid
5. Once you've added all of the above fields to the list, select the **Filters** tab, then select **Add** **New** **Filter**.
6. The **Report** **Editor** **Filter** popup appears.
7. For the **Column** filter, select **Is** **Valid**.
8. For the **Operation** filter, select **True**.
9. Select the **Preview** tab to see an example of how the data will appear.
10. If all appears as intended, select **OK** at the bottom left to run the newly created report.
11. Select **Export** at the top left.
12. Name the file using your venue name followed by **Waiver** **Export**, for example, **Jumptastic** **Waiver** **Export**, and save it in Microsoft Excel (*.xls) format.
13. Send the file to [datamigrations@rollersoftware.com](mailto:datamigrations@rollersoftware.com) for data verification. In the subject line of the email, include your venue name, for example, **Jumptastic** **Waiver** **Export**.

The data will be reviewed by ROLLER and discussed with you if there are any concerns.

If the data is error-free, it will be placed in your venue's playground for your review. You will receive a notification when the data is ready for testing. Use this guide [Test your imported data in playground](/v1/docs/test-your-imported-data-in-your-playground) to make sure it looks correct.
