# How do I issue a large number of gift cards at once?

Need to issue a large number of gift cards? You can issue them through POS at your venue, or guests can purchase multiple gift cards through the online checkout.

## Multiple gift card sales

**Use POS to issue more than one gift card sale in person.** It automatically applies the selected amount to each card upon scanning. Staff can add multiple cards to the cart at once, and there's no need to re-enter guest information for each card — saving time when issuing large quantities.

**Through the online checkout**, guests can purchase as many gift cards as needed, set custom amounts for each card, and choose their delivery method (digital via email or physical via mail). They can also add personalized messages and schedule delivery times.

## Issue more than one gift card for a guest at POS

Before you begin, make sure that your gift card products have been added to your [POS device menu](/v1/docs/create-and-edit-pos-menus), then follow the steps below:

1. From **POS**, select the gift card product. If you're issuing a custom gift card, you will need to enter the price required for its value.
2. When prompted, scan the physical gift card barcode or manually enter the card number into the **Custom gift card** field. Then select **Apply**.
3. Add the booking holder details. If set to skip guest details in [POS settings](/v1/docs/manage-individual-pos-device-settings), select **Add booking holder** at the top of the cart.
4. You can add multiple gift cards to the POS cart at once — simply repeat this process to add as many gift cards as needed.
5. Once you've added all the gift cards you want to issue, proceed to complete the guest transaction.

## How guests can purchase more than one gift card through the online checkout

To try out the guest experience when purchasing gift cards through the online checkout, make sure your gift cards have been added to your [online checkout](/v1/docs/create-your-online-checkout), then follow these steps:

1. From the online checkout, select the **Gift Card** product.
2. Select the gift card values and quantities (guests can purchase multiple gift cards at once by entering the desired quantity), then select **Checkout**. ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/23700755-951c-4b69-8afe-ec8b33c6c689/Images/Documentation/15180556637583.png)
3. Enter the required information under **Your details**.
4. Enter the recipient’s name for the first gift card.
5. Select a gift card type from the options provided. Options available are based on the [gift card product settings](/v1/docs/create-your-gift-card-products).
  - **Digital**: Sends a virtual gift card via email to the recipient. Enter the recipient’s email address, write an optional message and select a time to send.
  - **Physical - delivered**: Posts a gift card to the recipient. Enter the delivery name, select a delivery option and enter the delivery address.
  - **Physical - pick up**: Recipients pick up their gift card from the venue.
6. Fill out the details for any additional gift cards with different recipients or delivery preferences.

7. Select **Continue**.
8. Choose the **Payment method** and select **Pay**.
