For ROLLER's general terminology, see the [ROLLER glossary](/v1/docs/roller-glossary). | In ROLLER | In Salesforce | What it is | | --- | --- | --- | | Booking | Order | A guest's purchase, with full transaction detail. ROLLER uses "order" for this too; in Salesforce, **Order** is a specific object | | Company or postcode | Account | How contacts are grouped. With a company on the guest record, the company becomes the account. Without one, everyone sharing a postcode groups under a single account | | Guest | Contact | A person who books or visits | | Payment | Transaction | A payment or refund against the Order | | Product | Product | An item you sell. Syncs from ROLLER, but doesn't join your Salesforce Price Book automatically | | Resource | Resource, shown on the Reservations Calendar | A bookable space or asset | | Venue | Venue | A site. Also the **ROLLER Venue** field on an Opportunity | ## Salesforce-specific terms | Term | What it is | | --- | --- | | **Banquet Event Order (BEO)** | The running order for an event, covering products and food and beverage requirements. Generated when the Opportunity closes | | **Closed Lost** | The Opportunity stage that releases all resource holds in ROLLER | | **Closed Won** | The Opportunity stage that confirms the booking in ROLLER, generates the BEO and builds the inventory order list | | **Event Participants** | An Opportunity Line Item created automatically when you save the first resource block. It holds the event space and carries no value, so it isn't a product the customer is buying | | **Inventory order list** | The stock needed for the event, built from your recipes at Closed Won | | **Opportunity** | The record you build a group event on, from first enquiry to confirmed booking | | **Opportunity Line Item** | A product on the Opportunity. Changes sync to the linked ROLLER booking | | **Price Book** | The Salesforce list of products available to sell. A product that isn't in it won't appear when you add products to an Opportunity | | **Quote** | A formal quote document you can send before the customer commits, then convert into Opportunity Line Items | | **Reprocess** | The control that queues every failed event again, across all your venues at once | | **Reservations Calendar** | Live ROLLER resource availability inside Salesforce. On an Opportunity you create and edit bookings; the standalone tab is view-only | | **Resource block** | A hold you place on the Reservations Calendar. Orange is provisional, blue is confirmed | | **ROLLER Setup page** | Where sync health for each connected venue is reported. Open the App Launcher, search for ROLLER, then select **ROLLER Connect – Venue Setup** | | **Venue connections** | The table on the ROLLER Setup page carrying a **Status** for each venue | ## ROLLER fields in Salesforce This table lists custom fields added to Salesforce objects by ROLLER Connect for Salesforce.
