For API updates, see the [API changelog](https://docs.roller.app/docs/api/changelog). --- ## API **Fixed in this release** - Webhooks could be disabled earlier than intended after a send timeout. - Updating a stock product through the API could silently archive HQ-linked variations. --- ## Bookings **Fixed in this release** - Resources could disappear when you changed a package quantity using the keyboard in Venue Manager. - Refunding an individual ticket on a discounted booking could refund the full item price instead of the discounted amount, leaving the booking unpaid. - Adding a form to a membership booking in Venue Manager could fail to add the correct number of fields for each member. - Group tickets in packages could auto-calculate incorrectly when a booking was created in Venue Manager or imported through the API. - Redemption counts could fail to update after a booking containing session items was canceled. - Resources could allocate incorrectly to a party package booking created in Venue Manager that spanned multiple resources. --- ## Discounts New **Use product tags to apply discounts to products and memberships** You can now target a discount code or a membership discount at a product tag instead of selecting products one by one. Tags sit at the parent product level, so variations added later pick up the discount automatically. --- ## Food and beverage Now generally available **Split tabs and card pre-authorization** Card pre-authorization and split tabs are out of beta and available to all venues. Hold a card against a booking so a group can keep ordering through the session, and divide the bill across multiple tabs paid separately without creating separate bookings. --- ## HQ Improved **Switch venues faster and land on the same product** Switching between HQ and a controlled venue from a product page now takes you straight to the matching product instead of the product list, and it works the same way in reverse. Switching is also significantly faster than before. --- ## Loyalty New **Remind guests before a loyalty reward expires** Guests with an unredeemed loyalty reward now get a reminder email 14 days before it expires, so fewer rewards go unused. Customize the email from **Settings** > **Design** > **Email templates**. Loyalty is a paid add-on. New Beta **Run time-limited promotion campaigns for your loyalty program (beta)** You can now run a time-limited promotion that multiplies rewards for one loyalty rule or your whole program, with a start and end date, automatic guest emails and an automatic revert when it ends. Set this up under **Loyalty** > **Promotions**. Loyalty is a paid add-on. --- ## Multi-passes New **Sell multi-passes for repeat visits** You can now sell a multi-pass, a bundle of session passes that guests redeem over several visits, so you can encourage repeat visits without asking for a recurring commitment. Create one under **Products** > **Create product** > **Multi-pass**, and each visit is deducted automatically as guests book. New **Track multi-pass sales and redemptions** The new **Multipass activity** dashboard shows passes sold and session redemptions side by side, broken down by product, so you can see whether guests are coming back to use what they bought. Find it under **Analytics** > **Dashboards** > **Multipass activity**. --- ## Online checkout **Fixed in this release** - HQ-controlled venues could be unable to re-enable **Call to Book** after HQ removed it from the checkout. - The **Continue** button on the mobile online checkout could gray out and stop progressing when a large file was attached through a checkout form. - Party packages could incorrectly show a minimum guest requirement in the progressive checkout. - The progressive checkout could display an incorrect session pass price. - The online checkout could show an incorrect ticket price when a customized schedule and a time-based price rule applied. - The featured product carousel could fail to appear on HQ-managed checkouts. --- ## Payments **Card surcharges end for Australian venues on 1 October 2026** From **1 October 2026**, card scheme rules ban Australian venues from adding a surcharge to card payments, and the domestic credit card interchange cap drops from 0.80% to 0.30%. ROLLER uses an IC++ pricing model, so that saving is passed on automatically whether or not you currently surcharge. > [!WARNING] > **If you currently apply additional fees to card transactions, you must remove them by 1 October 2026 to stay compliant.** From Venue Manager, go to **Settings** > **Account** > **Tax & fees**, select the **Fees** tab and set your card transaction fees to 0% for every sales channel. --- ## POS Close a till session without counting cash, see and act on a booking straight from the capacity grid and, on request, create a booking there too. New **Close a POS till session without counting cash** POS operators with the right permissions can now close a till session without entering a cash count, so the next session starts straight away and the count is completed later in Venue Manager. A new **Till sessions** page in POS shows which sessions are open, closed, reconciled and un-reconciled. New **Create a booking directly from POS capacity view (on request)** You can now select or drag across the capacity view grid to pick a time slot and resource, then make the booking on the same screen. This feature is on request, so contact your customer success manager or the support team to turn it on. New **See and act on booking details from POS capacity view** Tapping a session on the capacity grid now opens a booking information panel with payment, redemption, resource and waiver status, so operators can run a readiness check without leaving the screen. From there they can mark the session as **Ready to start**, open the full booking or redeem tickets. **Fixed in this release** - Tile colors could reset for all tiles when you opened **Select products** and selected **Done**. - Session times could fail to appear when you rescheduled a package that includes a standard pass and a session pass. - POS tips could display regardless of your venue's POS settings. - Products could show an incorrect price in POS after their price was updated. --- ## Price rules Apply price rules to packages, stop managed venues changing the rules on HQ products and get a weekday and weekend rule created for you. New **Apply price rules to packages** Packages now support early bird, time-based and quantity-based price rules, giving them the same pricing flexibility as session passes, standard passes and party packages. Rules apply when the package includes a single standard or session pass at a quantity of one, and only to that pass. New **Control who can change price rules on HQ products** You can now stop managed venues changing or removing a price rule applied to an HQ product, so HQ products stay inside your group's pricing structure. From HQ, clear **Can change price rules on HQ products** in the relevant permission group under **Venues** > **Permissions**. New **New products start with a weekday and weekend price rule** If your venue has no price rules set up, one called **Weekend pricing** is now created for you, with every day at base price except Saturday and Sunday. It is a starting point you select from the **Price rule** drop-down, not something applied automatically. Available in English-speaking locales only. **Fixed in this release** - Party package receipts and invoices could show an incorrect per-person price when a time-based price rule applied. --- ## Products Generate session pass images and descriptions with AI, plus fixes across product setup, session passes and HQ product templates. New **Generate product images and descriptions with AI (on request)** You can now generate a session pass image and description from the product name alone, which cuts setup time for new passes. This feature is on request and currently covers session passes only, so contact your customer success manager or the support team to turn it on. **Fixed in this release** - HQ POS template images from stock variations and products could fail to appear in controlled venues or on POS devices. - Multi-pass variation details pages could show an incorrect currency symbol. - The **Duplicate** action could fail on party package products in Venue Manager. - Tax override updates in variation settings could take effect after a delay. - Enabling a tax override on a single session pass could apply it across all session passes. - The page header in session pass configuration could omit the pass name. - **Make private** and **Make public** settings on session passes could revert when other product configuration changes were saved. - The Google Things to Do checkout page drop-down could fail to open in session pass product configuration. - The **Allocate wristbands** option could turn on across all session passes. - The **Waiver** setting on a session pass could fail to save. --- ## Tax Improved **Refund bottle deposits with the correct tax** ROLLER now calculates tax correctly on bottle deposits, common in countries like Germany (Pfand), and reverses that tax when you refund the deposit. It applies to any stock item set up with a negative value and tax applied, and nothing needs setting up. **Fixed in this release** - Partial payment receipts could display tax incorrectly. --- ## Other fixes **Fixed in this release** - **Gift cards:** A canceled gift card could stay active in online checkout and still be used at checkout. - **Memberships:** Membership discounts could be distributed incorrectly across multiple tickets in a booking. - **Online accounts:** The **Pause** option could be available for multi-membership bookings where one membership was not yet eligible to pause. - **Reporting:** The **ROLLER Payments transactions report** could fail to show refunds as negative values. - **Waivers:** Custom waiver form submissions could process inconsistently between POS and Venue Manager. --- Looking for more setup guidance for new features and improvements?
