# Show a session availability panel on your checkout homepage (on request)

If you sell similar session-based products, like escape rooms or VR rooms, guests need to click into each product from the homepage to compare available times. This is true for both date-led and product-led checkout configurations.

Instead, add a session availability panel to your checkout homepage, so guests can see several products and their available times together, and jump straight to booking. This is done by adding a homepage widget which displays the available sessions. This provides an availability-led checkout experience.

> [!NOTE]
> This feature is on request only. Contact your customer success manager or the [support team](https://mysupport.roller.software/docs/contact-roller-support) to have this feature enabled for your venue. Overlay checkouts are not supported.

## How it works

The session availability panel shows multiple products and their upcoming session times side by side on your checkout homepage:

- Displays up to 6 times per product by default, with the option for guests to expand and see more.
- Respects each product's existing price rules and sold-out settings.
- Selecting a time slot takes the guest straight to that product with the slot pre-selected, so they can complete their booking with one less step.

This is a homepage feature designed for venues using the full-page checkout homepage, not the overlay checkout experience.

## Set up the session availability panel

To configure the availability-led checkout panel to display on the homepage, set this up as a checkout widget in your checkout settings.

1. In Venue Manager, select **Apps** and **Progressive checkouts**.
2. Select the 3 dots menu next to the checkout you want to update.
3. Select **Edit**.
4. In the Basics tab, scroll down to the widget section. Select **Add widget**.
5. Select the **Session times** option.
6. Add a title for your homepage panel, this is what your guests will see when browsing your availability-led homepage.
7. In the **Select products** drop down, select which products to show in the panel.
8. Once you’ve selected the products, select **Apply.**
9. If you want to show this panel first on the homepage, use the drag and drop to rearrange the order of the panels.
10. **Save** to update the checkout.

## FAQs

**Can I use this with an overlay checkout?**

No. The session availability panel is not supported with embedded/overlay checkouts — it's designed for the full-page checkout homepage.

**Do I need to set anything up for each product?**

No. The panel automatically respects each product's existing price rules and sold-out settings — there's nothing to configure at the product level.

**What happens when a guest selects a date on the homepage?**

By default, this takes guests to the product page. Guests stay on the homepage instead, which is recommended alongside this widget so they can keep comparing products.

**How many session times show per product?**

Up to 6 by default, with guests able to expand to see more.
