# Why are my ROLLER Karting leaderboards showing incorrect results?

## Introduction

Karting leaderboards display race entries and can be filtered by day, week, month, or year. You can also create custom leaderboards using tags, labels attached to data points like waivers, karts, personal data, and run templates.

When a race finishes, the results and any assigned tags are saved. Leaderboards then use those tags to filter and display race results.

## Cause

If no tags are selected under **Filter or exclude leaderboard tags**, the leaderboard shows all race entries for the selected time period.

Tags are applied to race data when the race is completed. If you create new tags later, they won't apply to past race entries. Only races completed after the tag is created and assigned include that tag.

## Solution

To fix incorrect leaderboard results, review the tag filters applied to the leaderboard slide. Filtering to or excluding the right tags limits your leaderboard to show only the intended entries.

> Changing leaderboard tag settings only affects future race entries. Existing race results are not updated.

## Check your leaderboard tag settings

Follow the steps below:

1. From ROLLER Karting, go to **Settings > Display Screen Settings**.
2. Select the channel that contains the slide you want to review.
3. Locate the **leaderboard slide** and select the **settings (cog) icon**.
4. Under **Filter or exclude leaderboard tags**, select the tags you want the slide to show, or select tags you want to exclude (for example, racers with a Staff tag).
5. Select **Save**.
6. Select **Preview** in the top-right corner and confirm the leaderboard shows the correct racers.
