# Why don't my sales figures match funds received for the same day?

## Solution

Gross sales and funds received in ROLLER are distinct and are **not** interchangeable.

| Term | Definition | Example |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Gross sales | Total sales without accounting for full payment or any discounts. | Quantity x Price = Gross sales Example: 10 session passes x $20 each = $200 |
| Funds received | Actual money received or collected, accounting for discounts, and including taxes and any fees. | Funds received from all payment sources = $386 - Family A: $150 (online purchase) - Guest B: $36 (on-site purchase with discount) - Group C: $200 (upfront deposit) |

If you want sales figures, check the [Detailed Product Sales report](/v1/docs/detailed-product-sales-report). It shows quantity sold and sales figures a specific time period. You can filter by date, location, device and product.

For reviewing funds received and recognized revenue in ROLLER (accrual method), use the [Detailed Product Sales report](/v1/docs/detailed-product-sales-report) or the [Revenue Recognition](/v1/docs/revenue-recognition-report) report. These reports provide funds received and also include [gross and net revenue](/v1/docs/difference-between-gross-and-net-revenue), which is determined based on ticket redemption or expiry (accrual accounting method).
