Operating hours let you set your venue’s open and close times once and apply them across product schedules. This reduces the number of schedules you need to manage and makes bulk updates fast and easy.
This guide will walk you through setting up and managing your operating hours, and once complete, you’ll be able to link product schedules to these hours.
What you can do
You can:
Set your standard hours (your usual weekly hours).
Add temporary hours (short-term changes, like holidays or closures).
Schedule future changes to your standard hours.
Link your product schedules to operating hours so they update automatically.
Standard hours versus temporary hours
| Type of hours | What it is | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Standard hours | Your usual weekly open/close times | Closed Mondays, later hours on weekends |
| Temporary hours | Short-term overrides for specific dates | Public holidays, school holidays, maintenance days |
| Future changes | Planned changes to standard hours, effective from a set date | New season starting July 1 |
Set your standard hours
You’ll need to set your standard hours before creating temporary hours.
Steps
- From Venue Manager, go to Products > Schedules.
- If this is your first time, the Operating hours view opens automatically.
- Otherwise, select Operating hours (top right).
- Set the open and close times for each day.
- Enter different hours if they vary each day.
- Switch off the Open toggle for any days your venue is closed.
(Optional) If your venue opens in the future, enter the opening date in Venue opens on a future date.
- Select Save.
What happens next?
- You’ll see a summary card of your operating hours.
- Days with the same hours are grouped.
- The calendar marks closed days.
- Any product schedules linked to operating hours automatically update if hours change.
Create any temporary hours and closures
Use temporary hours to adjust your schedule for short-term changes like holidays, events or maintenance. Temporary hours override standard hours for the dates you choose.
Steps
- From Venue Manager, go to Products > Schedules.

- Under Temporary hours and closures, select Add.
- Enter a name for your temporary hours (eg Christmas holidays; Extended hours) and description.
- From the Dates field, choose a single date (double-click) or date range for the temporary hours, then select Apply.
You must select Apply after choosing dates. If you skip this, the dates won’t be included and you’ll see an error when you try to save.
- To include only certain days of the week for a date range, deselect Include every day and select the days that apply.
- Set opening and closing times for each applicable day. By default, all days are closed. Turn on the Open toggle for days you want to open.
- (Optional) Exclude specific dates:
-
- Select the options menu (3 dots) in the top right, then select Exclude.
- Select the date or date range you'd like to exclude.
-
- Select Save.
What happens next
- Temporary hours display in a different color on the calendar.
- Closed days are marked clearly.
- A summary card appears for the temporary hours.
- Once the period ends, hours automatically revert to your standard hours.

You can update your standard hours immediately or set them to take effect on a future date.
