Introduction
Reusing gift cards at your venue can help reduce operational costs, minimize waste, and speed up the process of issuing replacement cards. Once a gift card has been redeemed it can’t be reissued in its current state.
Solution
Repurpose gift cards by editing the gift card number on the booking it was used for in Venue Manager. This means the unique scannable number on the physical gift card can be reused for future bookings.
Edit the gift card number of a used card
- From Venue Manager, go to Products > All Products.
- Filter by Gift card using the Product type dropdown.
- Select the options button (3 dots) and select View gift cards.
- Enter the gift card number in the search bar.
- Select the gift card from the search results.
- Change the Gift card # to a different value. Ensure the new value does not conflict with the unique numbering system that other gift cards you issue may use.
You can now reuse and issue the used card. Note that you will have to repeat the process for each used gift card.
