Why can't I update the resources on my product? – Help Center

Problem

When editing a product, it does not allow you to remove the overall product resource.

When this occurs, it’s often because the resource you want to change is being used for product variations.

Add the new resource you want to use for the product without removing the old resource.

From there, update the resources for all product variations.

Once all of the product variations have been updated to the new resource, you can remove the old resource from the product and save the changes.

Follow the steps below to update the resources assigned to your product and its variations.

From Venue Manager, go to Products > All products.
Select the options menu (3 dots) for the product
Select Edit.
Scroll down to Resources. From the drop-down, select any additional resource(s) that you want to make available for the product.
Select the product variation list.
Under Variation details, add the new resource you want to make available for the product and then remove the existing resource.
Repeat this process for any additional variations of the product.
Select Save.
Go back to Resources and remove the existing resource now that it has been removed from all product variations.
Select Save.
