Problem
When you press Pay on a POS cart, the payment prompt sometimes goes to the wrong card reader. This mix-up can interrupt check-in and create a bumpy customer experience.
Cause
Your POS device is paired with a different card terminal, so it sends the transaction to the unintended terminal.
Solution
Update your POS hardware settings so the POS connects to the correct ROLLER Payments terminal.
Check the model and serial number on the back of the intended device, then follow the steps below.
Update the assigned terminal at POS
- From POS, go to More > Settings > Hardware.
- Select the ROLLER Payments terminal model and serial number field.
- Select the model and the serial number in the drop down for the intended card terminal. The serial number can be found on the back of the device.
- Select Save Settings
- Test that the POS prompts payment requests from the intended terminal.
