Introduction
Sometimes you may experience a Wi-Fi outage, causing your S1F2 card terminal to lose connection to the local network. This prevents your terminal from receiving required transaction data from ROLLER POS to process payments.
Solution
If your local Wi-Fi is unavailable, your S1F2 card terminal can continue processing payments using cellular data. The S1F2 supports 4G cellular connectivity, allowing it to stay connected to ROLLER POS during a Wi-Fi outage.
The S1F2 requires a SIM card to use cellular data. The SIM card comes pre-installed in the terminal. If you need to confirm that a SIM card is present, consult this article.
Switch your S1F2 from Wi-Fi to cellular data
- Select Settings on the terminal.
- Select Network.
- Enter 0166 when prompted for the passcode.
- Select Wi-Fi and toggle Wi-Fi off.
- Select the back arrow to return to the Network menu.
- Select Cellular and confirm the status is Active.
