New alert + guidance when editing HQ products already shared with venues
Preview release (Playground): No
Target release date: Tuesday 26 August (EOD AEST)
If you edit a product in HQ that’s already shared with managed venues, your changes won’t update the versions in those venues.
HQ now shows a warning to make this clear — and points you straight to Bulk edit, which is the only way to push changes to one or more venues.
When you edit a shared product in HQ, you’ll see:
- A warning message: “Changes made here will not apply to products already added in managed venues. Use Bulk edit to push changes to your managed venues.”
- A shortcut to open the Bulk edit modal.
- Learn more link explaining how to use Bulk edit to update products already shared with one or more venues.
- Dismiss button to hide the message permanently.
Add HQ-managed stock items directly from the stock page in Venue Manager
Preview release (Playground): No
Target release date: Tuesday 26 August (EOD AEST)
Managed venues can now add HQ stock items directly from the Products > Stock page in Venue Manager – no need to switch back to the full product list. It’s a faster way to set up stock with fewer clicks.
Previously, you had to go to the Products list, find the right stock category, and add items one by one. Now, you can do it all from the stock page.
- From Venue Manager, go to Products > Stock
- Select the new Add managed stock button
- Select the HQ stock items you want to add to this venue (only items not yet added will appear)
You can still use Add managed product on the main Products page — this is just a faster option for stock setup.
Control who can manage guest company info in Venue Manager
Preview release (Playground): From 19 August (EOD AEST)
Target release date: Tuesday 26 August (EOD AEST)
You can now restrict access to guest company records (eg schools, corporates) in Venue Manager. This gives HQ better control over company data across multiple locations, and helps owner operators with larger teams manage access more effectively.
Only staff with the new Can manage companies permission can access the Companies page and manage records. Staff with booking permissions can still view company info in bookings, but can’t edit it or access the Companies page.
Set and forget your package sales availability
Preview release (Playground): From 19 August (EOD AEST)
Target release date: Tuesday 26 August (EOD AEST)
You can now keep packages running for as long as you want — no end date required. Whether it’s a lane + food deal, a jump + meal combo, or a weekend special you can make them available ongoing or for a set date or date range without constantly updating settings.
Packages can:
- Run indefinitely
- Be available for a set date or date range
- Show only on specific weekdays
- Include multiple exclusion dates/date ranges (eg peak periods or public holidays)
This gives you more flexibility and fewer manual updates for popular deal bundles.
- From Venue Manager, go to Products and open the package to edit (or create a new one)
- Scroll to Sales availability
- Choose ongoing or select a date/date range
- (Optional) Pick specific weekdays and add any exclusion dates/date ranges
Restrict discount codes in POS with a manager PIN
Preview release (Playground): From 19 August (EOD AEST)
Target release date: Tuesday 26 August (EOD AEST)
You can now require a manager PIN to apply certain discount codes in POS. It’s ideal for limiting access to high-value or staff-only discounts, like free games or employee pricing.
Here’s how it works:
- From Venue Manager, go to Products > Discount codes and choose the code you’re applying the PIN to.
- Under Usage and restrictions, select Restrict which applications can apply the discount.
- Select POS, and any other applications you'd like the discount available in.
- Select Require manager PIN to use this code at POS.
When selected, POS staff will be prompted to enter a valid manager PIN before they can apply that discount. This follows the same flow as existing manager approvals (eg complimentary discounts). This only applies in POS. Venue Manager discount functionality remains the same.
This helps prevent unauthorized use of discounts, protects revenue and gives you more control over sensitive promotions.
Automatically update booking holder info from waiver
Preview release (Playground): From 19 August (EOD AEST)
Target release date: Tuesday 26 August (EOD AEST)
When a guest completes a waiver, their details can now automatically populate the booking holder information, ensuring more complete data capture and reducing manual steps for staff.
Here’s what’s new:
- When adding waivers at POS, staff can select a guest who has signed a waiver to become the booking holder.
- If no selection is made, the system remembers the previous booking holder for quick reuse.
- Staff can still manually assign a booking holder, if needed.
- If a minor is selected, the system will automatically assign their guardian instead.
This ensures accurate contact details are captured at checkout, which reduce friction for staff and guests.
POS refund receipt updates for German customers
Preview release (Playground): No
Target release date: Tuesday 26 August (EOD AEST)
To support German fiscal compliance, POS receipts for refunds have been updated to show a negative value next to the line item. If the venue has the tax breakdown switched on, then the items in the tax table will also show negative values.
Add an extra layer of security to Venue Manager logins with MFA
Preview release (Playground): No
Target release date: Tuesday 26 August (EOD AEST)
We’ve added multi-factor authentication (MFA) to Venue Manager to help protect your accounts from unauthorized access.
MFA is available to all venues but is not enabled by default. You’ll be prompted to enable MFA for your venue on the Staff settings page (see below)
When MFA is enabled at your venue:
- Staff must verify their identity using a second step during login
- This can be done through an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or 1Password) or via a code sent to email
- Staff can choose to "remember this device" to reduce friction on future logins
MFA is managed at the venue level and required for all users when turned on. If access is lost, admins can reset MFA for team members.
This upgrade improves data security and helps protect your business from unauthorized access.
Docket readability enhancements
Preview release (Playground): No
Target release date: Tuesday 26 August (EOD AEST)
This enhancement improves docket readability for kitchen staff to speed up food prep. When a booking includes multiple identical stock items as part of a package (eg burgers in a party package), they’re now automatically aggregated them into a single line on the docket (eg 10x Classic burger) instead of listing each item separately.
Items with notes or modifiers remain ungrouped, and reprinted items are now clearly marked inline, improving clarity for kitchen staff and reducing prep errors.
See remaining membership benefits at POS
Preview release (Playground): From 19 August (EOD AEST)
Target release date: Tuesday 26 August (EOD AEST)
Give your staff clear visibility into remaining member benefits, right from the POS. For memberships with limited-use perks (like guest passes or birthday events), staff can now easily see what’s been used and what’s still available without trying to redeem them at POS. This helps your team provide faster, more confident service and improves the guest experience at checkout.
Create flat price and dollar amount membership discounts
Preview release (Playground): From 19 August (EOD AEST)
Target release date: Tuesday 26 August (EOD AEST)
You can now create flat price and dollar amount membership discounts, like offering soda for $1 instead of calculating percentage discounts or offering $15 off merch. This gives you more control when designing member offers and promotions, especially for items with consistent pricing.
ROLLER automatically calculates the discount amount at checkout. If the product is already at or below the flat price, no discount is applied.

Preview release (Playground): No
