The Amusement Connect integration is a cloud-based solution that allows guests to buy and manage their cashless game cards directly from ROLLER, eliminating the need for multiple systems. The integration ensures that data between Amusement Connect and ROLLER is synced, providing accurate and up-to-date information.
When to use
Use the Amusement Connect integration to streamline your arcade management processes and consolidate your cashless card management systems.
- Your guests benefit from using cashless cards for arcade games and attractions, enjoying seamless purchase options online and at POS, convenient pay-to-play options, and easy balance checks and top-ups at POS.
- Cashless cards provide improved security by reducing the need for cash, offer faster transactions and allow for better tracking of balances and spending.

What you can do
Here are some key features of our integration with Amusement Connect.
- Sell cashless card products: Guests can buy cashless card values for cash or time through ROLLER online checkout or at POS. Cashless cards are not supported at self-serve kiosks.
- Use cashless cards as a payment type: Guests can use the cash balance on their cashless card to pay for admission, food, beverage and merchandise at POS. Cashless cards cannot be used as a payment method online or at self-serve kiosks.
- Assign card IDs at POS: When a guest purchases a cashless card online or at POS, your staff can assign the value to an Amusement Connect RFID card by scanning or entering the 10-digit card ID at POS. All Amusement Connect card IDs must be 10 digits.
- Top up cards at POS: Guests can top up cash or time on their cards at POS. Cash balances update immediately. Time balances only appear after the original time balance has been fully used. Guests can also check cash balances in POS.
- Reporting: Cashless card sales are tracked in ROLLER reporting and revenue is recognised at the time of purchase. The transaction details sent to Amusement Connect always appear as cash payments, regardless of the actual payment method used in ROLLER.
Some venues use a points system in Amusement Connect. While points automatically adjust based on the cash value on the card, they cannot be viewed or managed in ROLLER.
Important to note
Consider how these may affect how you operate:
Time balances only display after previous time has been fully used.
Points balances cannot be viewed or redeemed in ROLLER.
Existing card IDs cannot be cleared or reused from ROLLER. Card resets must be managed in Amusement Connect.
Cashless cards cannot be refunded onto.
ROLLER cannot reset, clear, merge or manually adjust balances on cards.
Card transaction history is not available in ROLLER.
Only the On first gameplay method is supported. Time does not begin counting down until a guest taps their card at a game.
Cashless cards cannot be used as payment online or at self-serve kiosks.
Cashless card products always appear as “Redeemed” in Venue Manager even if a balance remains.
Amusement Connect and Intercard cannot be used at the same time.
Get started with the integration
To get started with the Amusement Connect integration, you’ll need:
Amusement Connect RFID cards and compatible hardware
RFID readers at POS devices where you want to issue or top up cards
Your Location ID from Amusement Connect
Once you have your Location ID, send it to the ROLLER support team so we can enable the integration for your venue.
ROLLER API access is not required.

As an Amusement Connect customer, you'll have access to your Location ID in your Amusement Connect portal in the Location Wizard, highlighted below. Copy the Location ID from here and send to the ROLLER support team.

Create, sell and manage cashless card products
Once you've set up the integration, follow these steps to create, sell and manage cashless card products at your venue.

Create your cashless card products in Venue Manager
Create cashless card products with cash or time value variations in Venue Manager. Refer to the guide Create and manage cashless cards.

Add your cashless cards to your sales channels
Add the product in ROLLER to an online checkout and/or POS menus for the POS devices you want to sell them from in venue. You can also add them as bundled items with party packages or optional upsell items for products purchased online.

Assign the card ID at POS
When guests redeem online purchases or buy cashless cards at POS, assign them a physical card ID (eg Amusement Connect RFID). Guests can then easily swipe their cards at arcade games at your venue. Refer to the guide Sell and manage cashless cards

Top up cards at POS
Guests can easily top up cards at POS terminals throughout your venue. They can also balance check cash balances. When time balances are topped up, the new balance won't show up at POS as the Amusement Connect system only shows time balances once the initial balance has expired.
