How do I use my V400m card terminal without Wi-Fi?

Prev Next

Introduction

You may occasionally experience a Wi-Fi outage that causes your V400m card terminal to lose its connection to the local network. When this happens, the terminal can’t receive the transaction data it needs from ROLLER POS to process payments.

Solution

If your local Wi-Fi is unavailable, your v400m card terminal can continue processing payments using cellular data. The v400m supports 4G cellular connectivity, allowing it to stay connected to ROLLER POS during a Wi-Fi outage.

The v400m requires a SIM card to use cellular data. The SIM card is pre-installed in the terminal.

Switch your v400m from Wi-Fi to cellular data

  1. Press 9 + Green on the keypad to open Settings.

  2. Select Network.

  3. Enter 0166 when prompted for the passcode.

  4. Select Wi-Fi and toggle Wi-Fi off.

  5. Select the back arrow to return to the Network menu.

  6. Select Cellular and confirm the status is Active.

Once cellular is active, the terminal can continue processing payments until Wi-Fi is restored.
