Manage API excess call usage

Prev Next

If you’re using ROLLER APIs, you have subscribed to an add-on that includes a set volume of API calls per month (per venue).

API call usage is charged in packages of call volume (see API call packages below for further information).

If you’re in excess of your API call package limit, you will be charged an excess fee for an additional package. It’s important to monitor and manage your API call usage to avoid being charged any excess API call fees.

This article shows you how to check your call usage and what to do if you’re in excess of your call limit.

Check your API call usage

To view your API call usage, navigate to Venue Manager > Settings > Integrations > API Keys.

Check to see if you're in excess of your limit to avoid excess charges.

API call packages

As a reminder, the API call package pricing tiers per venue are:

Package

API - Lite (monthly)

API - Pro (monthly)

API - Enterprise (monthly)

Price

$35 USD per month

$70 USD per month

$110 USD per month

Limit of API calls included

5,000 calls

25,000 calls

100,000 calls

API calls are an add-on to your existing ROLLER subscription and packaged in tiers independently of your ROLLER subscription plan. For example, you might have a 'Pro' ROLLER subscription, but an 'API – Enterprise' package.

Excess API call fees

If you exceed the limit of your API call package you will be charged for an additional API call package. Any excess charges will appear on the invoice of the month after the over-limit API calls occur. Excess usage is charged on a per venue basis.

For example:

Package

Calls included in the package

Calls used in the month

Charge

API Lite ($35 USD per month)

5,000

37,433

 8 x

$280 USD per month

What to do if you’re in excess of your limit

If you're currently in excess of your limit, you can either:

  • Move up to the next available API call package tier, or

  • Look at reducing the number of calls you're making.

If you'd like to update your tier, contact your customer success manager or the support team.
