Membership Redemptions report

See every time your members use their membership, from check-ins to member discounts on bookings, so you can tell which members get value from it and which ones to invite back. Each redemption shows the member, their ticket ID and the date, for memberships sold at your venue.

The permission required to open this report is Can access Guests reports. The administrator and manager roles have this permission enabled by default.

What the report shows

Use the totals to see how many members used their membership and how often, and the rows to see each redemption. A redemption is either of these:

  • A staff member redeems the membership itself (eg scans it at POS when the member arrives).

  • A booking uses the member's membership discount, online, at POS or in Venue Manager.

Each row is one redemption, so a member who checks in twice in one day has two rows.

To learn why redemption numbers differ between reports, see How ticket redemptions are counted in the guide Get started with guest and member check-in.

Check each redemption's date, member, booking ID, ticket ID and membership product in the Membership Redemptions report

The totals at the top cover the date range and filters you select.

Total

What it shows

Members

The number of memberships redeemed at least once. A guest with two memberships counts twice, and a member who redeems five times counts once.

Redemptions

The number of redemptions, counting every check-in and every booking that used a member discount.

The columns show each redemption.

Column

What it shows

Redemption Date

The date and time of the redemption, in your venue's time zone. For a member discount, it's when the discount was added to the booking.

Member name

The name on the membership.

Booking Id

The ID of the booking the membership was bought in, not the booking the member used it on. Select it to see a summary of the booking, then select Go to booking to open the full booking.

Ticket Id

The membership's ticket ID. It tells apart memberships bought in the same booking.

Product

The membership product redeemed.

Check one member's redemption history

Answer a member's question about their visits, or see when they last came in, with every redemption of their membership in one list.

  1. Choose a date range that covers the period you want to check (eg from the month they joined).

  2. In Search, enter the member's ticket ID, then select Apply filters.

Each row is one redemption, with the date in Redemption Date. Searching by ticket ID keeps other members with a similar name out of the results.

To see which products a member bought with their discount, use the Discounts by Booking report. To learn more, see the guide How can I find membership redemptions in Venue Manager?

Compare use across membership products

Comparing products shows which memberships members value most and which ones to promote.

  1. Under Membership product, select one product, then select Apply filters.

  2. Note Members and Redemptions.

  3. Repeat for each product you want to compare.

Divide Redemptions by Members to get the average number of redemptions for each membership of that product.

FAQs

How does the report count unique members?

Members counts each membership redeemed at least once in your date range. A guest with two memberships counts twice, and a member who redeems five times counts once.

Does a member who visits twice in one day count twice?

Yes. Each check-in and each booking with a member discount is its own row and adds to Redemptions. To count the days a membership was used instead, see Redemption Days in the guide Memberships report.

Why doesn't Redemption Date match the day the member visited?

For a member discount, Redemption Date is when the discount was added to the booking, not the visit date (eg a booking made online a week ahead). For a check-in, it's when the membership was redeemed.

How is this report different from the Membership Entitlement Redemptions report?

This report covers memberships sold at your venue. The Membership Entitlement Redemptions report shows every redemption at your venue, including members whose home venue is elsewhere, with a Home and Away filter.

Can I see redemptions across all my venues from HQ?

From HQ, choose a venue under Venue Name to see its redemptions, then choose the next venue. To see members from other venues who redeem at one venue, run the Membership Entitlement Redemptions report at that venue. To talk through a view across all your venues, contact your customer success manager or the support team.

Why isn't a membership in the report?

Each row is a redemption, so a membership with no redemptions in your date range doesn't show. The report also only includes products created as memberships, not season or annual passes set up as standard passes.
