Multi-passes using standard passes

Prev Next

Multi-passes are created using the standard pass product type in ROLLER. They allow guests to redeem a set number of visits to your venue — often at a discounted price — encouraging repeat visits.

Common use cases include:

  • 5-visit passes

  • Monthly visit passes

  • Seasonal or promotional passes (eg summer multi-pass)

There are two ways to set up a multi-pass, depending on how guests redeem their visits.

This article was created before a dedicated multi-pass product was released into beta. It’s now recommend that if your venue wants to offer a multi-visit pass product, to use the new multi-pass product type instead. To switch it on for your venue please contact your Customer Sucess Manager, or ROLLER Support.

Guests redeem their pass on entry

Guests check in at your venue and each visit counts as one use of the pass.

  • Product type: Standard pass

  • Redemption: At entry (ticket scanned at POS)

  • Tracking: Uses are tracked via the Attendance report

This option is ideal for:

  • Theme parks

  • Attractions

  • Walk-in venues without session-based bookings

Example:

A guest purchases a 10-visit pass that is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Each time they check in, one visit is deducted.

Guests book a session online ahead of time

Guests purchase a multi-use standard pass and are automatically issued a unique discount code. They use this code to book sessions online, or quote it over the phone or in venue.

  • Product type: Standard pass + discount code

  • Redemption: Through session bookings

  • Tracking: Usage is tracked via Discounts in Venue Manager

This option is ideal for:

  • Trampoline parks

  • Venues with limited capacity

  • Venues requiring advance bookings

Example:

A guest buys a 5-visit multi-pass and receives a discount code. They use the code to book 5 sessions online, each counting as one visit.
