Sell multiple visits using standard passes

Prev Next

Venues often sell passes that cover a set number of visits, usually at a discount, to encourage guests to come back. Common examples are monthly visit passes and seasonal or promotional passes (eg a summer pass).

If your venue offers multi-visit passes (eg 5-visit pass), we recommend using the multi-pass product type rather than standard passes, as it lets you track and redeem individual visits against a single purchase. This applies when you're using progressive checkout — see the guide Create multi-pass products.

Choose your setup

There are two ways to set this up with a standard pass. Which one you use depends on how guests redeem their visits.

Guests redeem on entry

Guests book sessions ahead of time

What you set up

A standard pass with a use limit

A standard pass plus a discount code

How guests redeem

Ticket scanned at POS on arrival

Booking a session online, or quoting the code by phone or in venue

Where you track usage

Attendance report

Discounts in Venue Manager

Best for

Theme parks, attractions and walk-in venues without session bookings

Trampoline parks, venues with limited capacity and venues requiring advance bookings

Guide

Create a standard pass for entry-based multi-visit setups

Set up a standard pass and discount code for multiple session bookings

Guests redeem their pass on entry

A guest buys a 10-visit pass valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Each time they check in at POS, one visit is deducted.

Guests book a session online ahead of time

A guest buys a 5-visit pass and is emailed a discount code. They use the code to book 5 sessions, each counting as one visit. The standard pass itself can't be redeemed — it covers the cost, and the code does the booking.
