Send payment links from POS

Prev Next

Sending payment links from POS makes it easier to collect deposits or final payments from guests who can’t pay in person. Whether you’re taking a phone booking or a deposit from a guest, you can now generate and send a payment link directly from POS — no need to switch to Venue Manager.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to send a payment link from POS.

Create and send a payment link from POS

  1. From POS, add items to the cart, then select Pay total.

  2. Search for the guest's details or enter them manually. Then select Save and pay.

  3. From payment methods, select Send payment link.

  4. Choose to either Reserve or Hold the booking until the guest pays. A reserved booking is confirmed, while a held booking will be cancelled if payment isn't received. Select a time period from the drop-down, or select Hold for custom time. If you choose to hold it for a custom time, you can set it in either hours, days or weeks.

  5. Select either Email or Text/SMS to send the link.

  6. The payment amount defaults to Total amount due. You can adjust this to a custom amount, with ROLLER automatically calculating the remaining balance.

  7. ROLLER applies the relevant fees to the transaction, based on where in ROLLER the booking was created and which system the payment link is sent from.

  8. Select Send request to issue the payment link.

See the table below for more information about fees.
