Problem
When inputting payment values into ROLLER, it does not allow you to enter decimal places for cent values.
Cause
If you're having trouble entering decimal values in ROLLER, it’s likely due to mismatched language settings between your Windows device and Chrome browser. Your keyboard layout and regional settings influence how your device interprets number inputs.
For example, a Canadian French keyboard layout expects a comma (,) as the decimal separator, while a US English browser expects a period (.). If these don't match, decimal inputs can be rejected in forms or payment fields.
Solution
Match your Windows device and Chrome browser settings to ensure the input methods align, allowing decimals to be entered correctly regardless of whether you're using a comma or period.
Follow the steps below to update your system settings.
Update your Windows device settings
- Select the Start menu, then select Settings.
- Go to Time & Language > Language & region.
- Under Preferred languages, ensure your desired language is listed. If not, select Add a language to install it.
- Select the language, then select Next.
- Select Install.
- Under Keyboards, ensure the keyboard layout matches your language (e.g. US keyboard for United States)
Update your Chrome browser settings
- From Google Chrome, select the options menu (3 dots) in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Select Languages.
- Under Preferred languages, ensure the same language as your Windows device settings is listed. If not, select Add languages.
- Select the desired language, then select Add.
- Use the options menu (3 dots) beside the language to set it as default.
- Restart Chrome to apply the changes.
