When a guest purchases a product that issues a discount code, ROLLER automatically sends the Discount code issued email. You can customize this email template to include your branding and clear redemption instructions so guests know what to do next.
This email template can be used for multi-visit or multi-pass style products or anytime a purchase issues a discount code for future redemption.
What this template does
The Discount code issued email is sent automatically when a guest purchases a product that issues a discount code and the code is successfully generated.
The email provides guests with:
- Their issued discount code
- Redemption instructions (pulled directly from the discount code’s settings)
- A Book online button that opens to your default progressive checkout, with the discount automatically applied
The template includes built-in variables for the discount code name and redemption instructions, so the content stays accurate without you manually changing it.
Confirm your discount code is configured correctly
Before you customize the template, make sure the discount code you’re using is set up to issue on purchase and has redemption instructions your guests can follow to use the discount.
To configure a discount to automatically apply:
- Create or edit a discount code.
- Confirm it’s set to Issue code on purchase.
- Select the products that should issue the discount.
- Add clear redemption instructions.
- Select Save.
Customize the template for your venue
You can customize the Discount code issued email template to make it as easy as possible for your guests to use their discount code.
To edit the email template:
- In Venue Manager, go to Settings > Design > Email templates.
- Select Discount code issued.
- Update the content, layout and branding as needed.
- Use the Closing section to give your guests instructions on how to redeem their discount.
- Select Save to publish your changes.
