You can now create a booking directly from the POS capacity view grid. Drag across the time and resources you want and a new booking opens against that selection, showing only the products available for it. You can also drag across more than one resource to book a group across several at once.
This feature is on request only. If you wish to use this feature in your venue, talk to your customer success manager or the support team.
How it works
Your selection follows the rules of the products sold on the resources you drag across. You can't select a time and resource combination that isn't bookable. For example:
Dragging along a row of resources snaps to each lane's bookable increments.
Dragging across a party room selects only the one-hour blocks that room is sold in.
Once you've made the selection, the booking panel opens with the resources locked to what you chose.
Create a booking
From POS, select Capacity.
Drag across the grid to select the time and the resource or resources you want to book. This assigns this particular resource(s) to the new booking.
Select Add to booking.
Choose the products for the booking. Only products available for the selected time and resources are shown.
Add packages if you need to, you can select package options here as you would anywhere else in POS.
Continue to other menus if the guest wants to add more. The order stays in progress.
Apply a discount if required, then take payment as normal.
When payment is complete return to capacity view, and see the new booking on the grid.

If products don’t appear to book
If the panel opens but no products are listed, the slot you selected isn't currently sellable.
Check the following:
The session available at that time: products only appear where a session is scheduled for the selected time.
A product is set up on that resource: a product only appears if it's configured to use the resource you dragged across.
The resource is a single-booking resource: capacity view only shows single-booking resources.
The product available in POS: products that aren't on a POS menu for that device won't appear.
