Usage limits let you control how often a discount code can be redeemed, so your promotions stay on budget and aligned with your marketing goals.
In ROLLER, you can cap total redemptions, limit each guest to a set number of uses, and restrict when a code can be used — all built into the discount code settings in Venue Manager.
You can cap discounts in two places when you create or edit a discount code. Use Additional options to set how many times a code can be used and who can use it, and use Availability to set the dates, days and times a code can be redeemed.
Choose the limit type that matches what you want to control:
Per code — caps total redemptions across all guests (eg a Black Friday code limited to 500 uses).
Per code per day — caps total redemptions across all guests per day.
Per guest — limits each guest to using the code once.
For time-based rules, use Discount usage under Availability to set a start date or a fixed sale window.
Discounts apply to only one eligible product per checkout, unless you turn on a usage limit. So if you want it to apply to more than one product in a single cart, you'll need to set a limit using the process below.
Set usage limits on a discount code
From Venue Manager, go to Products > Discount codes > Create a discount code, or select an existing code to edit it.
Scroll to Additional options and select Limit discount uses.
Enter the number of uses, then select a limit type:
Per code for a total cap
Per code per day to reset the cap daily
Per guest to limit each guest to one use.
(Optional) To set when the code can be redeemed, go to Availability > Discount usage and select Date range, then set the dates, Days of week and any time windows. To make the code available from a start date with no expiry, select Ongoing instead.
(Optional) Select Include booking rule to cap how many items in a single booking the discount can apply to, or Allow multiple uses of a code in the same booking to let a guest reuse the code within one booking.
Select Save to activate the code.
