Introduction
Offering tips on a booking to multiple staff members ensures fairness and encourages teamwork.
Default tipping options are set in global POS tipping settings. While at POS you can override the default settings and assign to specific staff members or general pools.
Solution
After the booking has been created, open the booking at POS and select the Tip button.
When entering the tip amount, select a staff member to assign the first portion of the tip. Repeat this process to assign remaining staff members their portions of the tip.
These tip transactions then appear associated with the same booking ID in the Staff Gratuity report. Each tip transaction appears as a separate row for with the tip assignee and their tip amount.
Follow the steps below to assign multiple staff members to a single booking at POS.
Assign tips to multiple staff members
- From POS, search for and select the booking.
- Select Tip at the bottom of the booking page.
- Choose the tip payment method.
- Enter the custom tip amount for the first recipient.
- Search for and select the staff member.
- Select the green Pay button.
- Repeat this process for each staff member. The booking and Staff Gratuity report are updated accordingly.
