Introduction
Buffer time is used to ensure there is sufficient setup, cleanup, or transition time between bookings. However, there may be occasions where you want increased booking availability and allow back-to-back parties in certain cases. In these cases, disabling the time buffer temporarily to allow a party package booking can help increase efficiency and make the most of available resources.
Solution
Disabling the buffer setting ensures that new bookings for a party package can be created without any enforced gap after the session. Please note that this change will automatically apply to resources already assigned to an existing booking. Follow the steps below to update the product settings and assign resources without a buffer time.
Remove the buffer time for a party package
- From Venue Manager, go to Products > All products.
- Search for and select the party package.
- Select Edit program under Party package details.
- Uncheck the Add buffer time setting.
- Select Done.
- Select Save.
- Search for the booking you want to update in the top left corner.
- From the booking details page, select the Order tab.
- Select the Edit resources button at the bottom of the order table.
- Select Apply.
If you've disabled the time buffer temporarily to bypass for a booking, ensure you update the product settings again so the buffer time applies to future bookings.
