Introduction
Setting purchase limits helps you manage session capacity for both session passes and standard passes. When you cap how many tickets a guest can buy for each product, you protect profitability, reduce operational hiccups and create a smoother guest experience.
There are two settings that influence purchase limits in Venue Manager:
- Min. purchase: Guests must buy at least this number of tickets
- Max. purchase: Guests cannot buy more than this number of tickets
You can set purchase limits at either the product level or the product variation level.
Setting limits at the product level helps keep groups together by making sure they fit within a single activity resource such as an escape room, bowling lane, mini-golf session space or axe-throwing lane.
Setting limits at the variation level lets you adjust the rules for each variation so you can tailor the experience to what that option needs.
Follow the steps below to set purchase limits for your products.
Adjusting purchase limits across all product variations
- From Venue Manager, go to Products > All products.
- Edit an existing session pass product or create a new one.
- Scroll to Additional options > Purchase limits.
- Set the minimum or maximum number of items a guest must buy across all product variations within the same session.
Adjusting purchase limits across individual product variations
- From Venue Manager, go to Products > All products.
- Search for and select the product you want to edit the min/max configuration for.
- Under Session pass details, select the ticket variation.
- Expand the Advanced settings tab.
- Set the minimum and maximum values for each ticket type so they work with your product-level purchase limits.
