Both status filters group statuses under Active, Suspended and Cancelled. Previous status also has the statuses a membership can only start from:

  • New for a membership that was just bought.

  • Upgraded from pass for a pass a guest upgraded to a membership.

If your venue pauses memberships (beta), Active also includes Pending Pause and Paused. To learn more, see the guide Pause memberships in Venue Manager and online accounts.

After you change a filter, select Apply filters.

To download this report, see the guide Filter, customize and download a report.

What the report shows

Each row is one status change, so you can see when each membership changed and what it changed to. One membership can have several rows (eg one when it was bought and another when it expired).

Find each membership's previous and new status, the date it changed and its ticket ID in the Membership Status Log report

The total at the top covers the date range and filters you select.

Total

Check one member's history

Answer questions like when a member canceled or whether their upgrade went through, with every change to their membership in one place.

  1. Choose a date range that covers the whole membership (eg from the month they joined).

  2. In Search, enter the member's name, then select Apply filters.

Each row is one change to their membership, with the date in Event Date.

To check the payments and edits behind a change (eg a failed charge), select the Booking Id, select Go to booking, then select the Activity tab.

Follow up members whose payment was declined

A membership moves to Declined Payment when ROLLER can't collect a recurring payment after retrying it. Finding these members early gives you time to update their card details before the membership lapses. Check for declined payments on a regular schedule (eg daily or weekly).

  1. Under New status, select Declined Payment, then select Apply filters.

  2. Select the member's Booking Id, then select Go to booking.

  3. Update their payment details.

When the payment goes through, the membership returns to Current and the report shows a new row from Declined Payment to Current.

To find out why a payment failed, see the guide Recurring Payment Log report. To get this list by email, see the guide Email reports on a schedule.

See which members canceled or expired

Checking how many members you lost in a period helps you spot a rise early and plan offers to win them back.

  1. Under New status, select Terminated and Expired, then select Apply filters.

  2. Choose the date range you want to check.

# Changes shows how many memberships moved to Terminated or Expired in that period.

To find members who have asked to cancel but still have their benefits, select Pending Cancellation instead. You can contact them before their membership ends.

To see why members canceled, see the guide Membership Cancellations report.

FAQs

Why does one membership have more than one row?

Each status change is its own row. A membership bought today shows a row from New to Current, and gets another row each time its status changes after that (eg from Current to Expired).

Does the date range use the date the membership was bought?

The date range uses Event Date, the date the status changed. A membership bought last year that expired this week shows in this week's results.

Why does a canceled membership show Pending Cancellation first?

A recurring membership canceled for a future date (eg the end of the billing period) moves to Pending Cancellation. The member keeps their benefits until that date, then the membership moves to Terminated. A fixed-price membership cancels straight away.

Why do the status filters show Upgraded from membership and Renewed membership?

These are the names Previous status uses for Upgraded and Renewed, the status of the membership a guest moved on from. Select them to find the memberships that were replaced.

How is this report different from the Memberships report?

This report has a row for each status change, and the date range uses the date the status changed. The Memberships report has one row for each membership with its status now, and the date range uses the date the membership was purchased.

To list your current members or see when memberships expire, use the Memberships report.
