Why do my discounts not work for multiple products?
Why is my discount only applying to one applicable product in the checkout and not all?

Problem

When a guest enters a discount code at checkout that should apply to multiple products, but is currently only being applied to one product.

Cause

The Usage limits setting hasn’t been configured in Venue Manager. When this setting is configured, you can specify that your discount can be used for multiple products, and it also determines how ROLLER reports the number of discounts used per transaction.

How to enable discount usage limits to apply to multiple products

Follow the steps below to configure usage limits for your discount codes so they can apply to multiple products:

1. From Venue Manager, go to Products > Discount codes > All codes.
2. Select the row of the discount code you’d like to update. You can filter for the discount code by using the search bar, the Discount type dropdown, Status dropdown or the Favorites dropdown.
   
3. Under Discount offer, confirm that the code entered by the guest matches a discount code in the Codes section.
4. Under the Usage and restrictions section, find Usage limits and check the box for Limit how many times the discount can be used. This is required in order for the discount to apply to each applicable product in the checkout. You can select one of the following options from the dropdown:
   1. Across selected products (quantity purchased counts towards uses): The discount is applied to each individual instance of the applicable products in the checkout. For example, a code with a 5-use limit for a session product will count each ticket in a transaction towards this limit. Buying 3 session passes in one transaction equals 3 of the 5 allowed uses.
   2. For each selected product (regardless of quantity purchased): The discount is applied to each applicable product regardless of how many tickets are being purchased. For example, if a code is good for 10 uses on General Admission passes, buying 5 General Admission passes at once counts as one of the 10 uses.
5. Enter the number of times this discount code can be used for each applicable product.
6. Select the Codes can only be used once checkbox if the discount code can only be redeemed once. This is useful for codes that are meant for specific guests, codes issued on purchase, codes used for return visits and more.
7. Select Save.
