When a guest arrives, checking them in confirms their booking and marks their tickets as redeemed.
You can check guests in at POS or with the Mobile Check-in app, and speed things up by scanning the QR code or barcode on their booking confirmation email.
If the guest has a membership, check-in works differently. See Check in a member at the venue.
Check in a guest at POS
At POS you can redeem tickets, assign waivers and take any outstanding payment in the one transaction.
From POS, search for the booking by name, email, phone number or booking ID. To find it faster, scan the QR code on the guest's order confirmation email.
Open the booking to see its tickets.
Redeem a single ticket, or select all tickets and redeem them together. A green tick shows a ticket has been redeemed.
If a balance is owing, it shows in orange. Select Charge, choose the payment method, then select Pay.
For the full flow, including assigning waivers and mass redemption for large groups, see Redeem bookings and assign waivers at POS.
Check in a guest with the Mobile Check-in app
The Mobile Check-in app lets staff check guests in away from the counter, using a phone or tablet.
Mobile Check-in is a paid add-on, in addition to your monthly subscription plan. Contact your customer success manager or the support team to learn more.
The app is for check-in only. It cannot create bookings, take payments or link waivers to tickets, so use POS when you need those.
Open the Bookings tab in the app.
Search by booking ID, ticket ID, guest name, email or phone, or scan the ticket barcode with a scanner or the device camera.
Select the checkbox next to the item to redeem it.
To set the app up, see Get started with the Mobile Check-in app. For the check-in steps, see Search for and redeem tickets using the Mobile Check-in app.
Scan a QR code or barcode
Booking confirmation emails and tickets carry a QR code or barcode. Scan it into the POS booking search or into the Mobile Check-in app to open the booking straight away.
If your guests use wristbands or key tags, you can link those codes to their tickets so they scan the same way.
See Capture custom ticket IDs at POS to have POS prompt for the code during a sale, or Bulk assign custom ticket IDs in Venue Manager for a large group.
Member cards and key tags work differently, see Enter a custom ID for a membership at POS.
Collect a waiver at check-in
If a ticket needs a signed waiver, assign it to that ticket at POS as part of check-in.
If Automatic check-in when waivers are attached is enabled on in POS device settings, assigning the waiver also redeems the ticket.
Save time at the counter by having guests sign before they arrive. See Get waivers signed before or on arrival.
In the Mobile Check-in app you can check whether a waiver is attached and request a missing one, but not assign it. See View and send waivers in the Mobile Check-in app.
